Rangers!

So, tickets to Rangers are secured! Rangers vs Devils on April 4! Super expensive but it is a big part of why we wanted to go on this trip! Now just please let king Henrik be the goalie of the night!!! :)

Miami studio apartment booked!

The trip is coming near completion booking wise! I found a studio apartment right at the beach litterally! The pic you see is basically the short walk from the studio! Close to busses, Supermarkets and places to eat! Free beach chairs, umbrella, body board, Portable personal cooler,Straw beach mat and other little things that will sure come in handy! Flights NY-Miami and Miami to NY are also booked! Now we need to find a place to crash for one night in New York on our way back home...

Room booked!

I booked a room in an apartment in the Hell's Kitchen/Times Square area! It's like a ten minute walk to Times Square and Madison Square garden. All the busses and subways are around the corner! Awesome!

It's on!!!!!

This is probably typicaly me :) I bought hockey tickets before the actual flight tickets! But now I couldn't wait. so I also bought the flight tickets!!! Here we go! It's on!!!

First purchase! Surprise for Tim!

What the heck! I just went ahead and bought tickets to Panthers vs Devils! April 11. Section 133 Row 7 Seat 13 and 14. I'll tell Tim tomorrow since he's asleep now :) I think he'll be quite happy!

Beginnings, dreams, plans...

Welcome to Richard and Tim Wilsons' travel blog! We'll just keep this mostly in english. It's a great way for Tim to learn the language and for everyone to understand :) So from april 2-17 the father and son will make their first big trip together! It started with Karin and Tyra who went to Uganda, Africa last year. We were quite jealous and wanted to make a trip on our own ;) Tim wanted to go to New York and Miami, Florida (Rangers and Panthers being his favourite hockey teams), so that's what we'll do! I can't say I complain about the choices of cities :) We will try and go see the NY Rangers and Florida Panthers play. If we get ticket's it's gonna be a major bonus but we both understand it might not happen. Time will tell. So, this is just a start of this blog that we will expand on as time goes by, and we will try and update when we arrive in the USA! I hope to get Tim to write here as well! We are about to buy plane tickets tomorrow and after that book some hotels, and try and get tickets to some hockey games! Then we'll wing it after that. I can't wait to see south beach, Miami though :) This is it for now... /richard
